Four weeks. Four wins. 160.78 points this week on the back of Brock Purdy going for 39.28 and Harold Fannin adding 24.1 like it's nothing. Ryan Weaver's all-play record is 39-5. THIRTY-NINE AND FIVE. That's not variance, that's not schedule luck, that's a man running a buzzsaw through Heavyweights while Justin Waitt's Diamond Dogs get left in the parking lot at 115.12. Weaver's got a ring already in that archive. Now he's building the sequel. BOOKMARK THIS.

And before the analytics desk sends me Trent Harley's regression math like it means something — fine, I'll say it so Barnwall doesn't have to: Harley's luck delta is sitting at +0.341, the highest number in the league, and a 29-15 all-play record attached to a 4-0 record tells you the schedule's been kind. I don't care. He's a newcomer with a career record that fits on an index card, and he just dropped Bijan Robinson for 35.3 points to run Kevin Jones's Wade for Heisman off the field, 150.48 to 135.54. Call it luck if you want. The scoreboard doesn't do asterisks.

Now the other side of the ledger, because somebody has to say it: Nick Inman lost. Sort of. He's technically 2-2, but let's talk about HOW he lost to Brian Jones — 87.74, with Kayshon Boutte managing 4.1 and Xavier Worthy matching him with 4. A former league points champion just got out-schemed by a guy who started Dalton Kincaid for 3.8. Keep dreaming, Nick.

And then there's Ollie Simmonds. 0-4. All-play 6-38. He put up 128.58 this week — a number that wins most matchups in this league — and STILL lost, to Evan Sinn's absurd 149.76 behind a 41.4-point Jahmyr Gibbs game and Sam Darnold throwing for 37.66. That's the cruelest kind of 0-4. Ollie's been to a final before. This season he can't win a coin flip.

Speaking of disasters: Elliott Simmonds scored 57.96. Fifty-seven. He still only lost by 27 because Ryan El Masri's own lineup wasn't much better, but 57.96 against anybody not also face-planting is a forfeit. CeeDee Lamb went for 20.2 and the rest of that roster combined to embarrass him.

Meanwhile John Penney's quietly 3-1 with wins stacking and Ja'Marr Chase going off for 24.8, and nobody's talking about him because Weaver and Harley are eating the headlines. Fine by me — Penney's the kind of team that sneaks into a two-seed while everyone argues about somebody else. I'll be the one talking about it in Week 9 when it matters. I said what I said.
