A week ago I told you Ryan Weaver was 4-0 and the debate was over. Weaver just went out and dropped 140.72 on Brian Jones, who could only answer with 81.48 despite Kyren Williams quietly piling up 36.7 points in a loss that did absolutely nothing for him. Weaver's all-play is 48-7. FORTY-EIGHT AND SEVEN. That's not a record, that's a hostage situation. I said what I said in Week 3 and I'm saying it louder now.

Here's where the analytics guys want to ruin the party. Barnwall's crew will point at Weaver's luck_delta — 0.127, allegedly "above expected" — like that number means anything when the man is 5-0 and just demolished Brian Jones 140.72 to 81.48. Luck delta is a made-up stat for people who need a spreadsheet to tell them a guy is good. I watch the games. Weaver is good.

And look, I have to talk about Trent Harley too, because he's also 5-0 and his all-play, 34-21, says he's been getting away with murder — luck_delta of 0.382, the highest number in the fact pack. Fine. Doesn't matter. Trent Harley put up 150.32 this week behind Joe Burrow's 27.72 and beat Evan Sinn, who scored 135.62 and STILL LOST because Tetairoa McMillan went off for 45.2 points that got wasted on a loss. Forty-five points and an L. BOOKMARK THAT one — Sinn's a two-time champion with the hardware to prove it, but right now he's 2-3 and allergic to winning in weeks where his stars actually show up. That's a him problem, not a luck problem.

Now let's bury somebody properly. Brian Jones had Kyren Williams go for 36.7 and he still got blown out, 81.48 to Weaver's 140.72, because Dalton Kincaid gave him 1.7 and Ladd McConkey gave him a bagel. That's L2 for Jones, 2-3 on the year, and a franchise named Cameron Crazies playing like the mascot got arrested.

Meanwhile Nick Inman is 3-2 with a two-game win streak and 141.98 on the board this week. I don't trust it. I've never trusted it. Ask me again when he's 6-2 and I'll still find a reason.

I said what I said.
