Sources close to the situation tell me the Heavyweights waiver wire after Week 6 has a split personality, and I mean that as a compliment to exactly nobody.

Let's start with the man doing the most. Justin Waitt made five separate roster moves this week. Five. He added Pat Freiermuth and dropped Jaylin Noel, then dropped Dontayvion Wicks to grab Christian Kirk, flipped Adonai Mitchell for Ryan Flournoy, then — and I need you to sit with this — re-added Jaylin Noel by dropping Chris Bell, before finally dropping Jacoby Brissett for Brandin Cooks. Justin's spent $87 of his $100 FAAB budget. He has $13 left. He is 2-4. His 764.52 points for is second-best in the entire league, trailing only Ryan Weaver, and his luck delta of -0.242 is the second-worst mark in the league, behind only Ollie Simmonds' -0.318, which means the product is good and the results are criminal. A person familiar with his thinking says he knows the scoreboard owes him and he's trying to waiver-wire his way out of the debt. More on this as it develops.

Now the other end of the spectrum. Evan Sinn has used exactly $0 of his FAAB. Same story as last week, when I told you he dropped 154 points and still wouldn't touch his budget. He's now 2-4 with 732.44 points for — again, elite scoring, bottom-half record, a man whose luck delta of -0.197 says the fantasy gods have it out for him specifically — and he's sitting on a full hundred like it's a college fund. At some point sitting on cash isn't patience, it's paralysis.

He's not alone. Ryan Weaver, who is 5-1 and running the league's best all-play mark at 49-17, has used a grand total of $4. That's the move of a front-runner who thinks he's already got the division locked, and with a $96 war chest sitting untouched while he's a game back of Trent Harley's unbeaten ParmBijan Cheese squad, that confidence better be earned. Ben Cunnion, fresh off a win over Brian Jones and riding a three-game streak, has $86 left too. Nobody's forcing anyone to spend. But in a league with this much separation at the top, sitting on your hands while Waitt bleeds cash chasing a correction feels like a choice someone's going to regret by Thanksgiving.

As for what's actually sitting in this league's pool: Omar Cooper is the single hottest name on Sleeper right now, over five million adds across the platform in 48 hours, and he's sitting here untouched. Kyler Murray and C.J. Stroud, both trending quarterbacks, both unclaimed. Travis Hunter's still floating too. I'd also point anyone with a bid left at Tyrone Tracy or Pierre Strong before someone panics into a kicker — and with Jake Bates, Will Reichard and Chase McLaughlin all cluttering the trending board, someone in this league is about to waste a double-digit bid on a leg. A manager in both leagues tells me it happens literally every year. Sources: it's done, probably on Wednesday night, probably by someone who should know better.

Kevin Jones, by the way, cut Terry McLaurin loose this week, even off the back of a win over Ryan Weaver. If the receiver can't survive on a winning roster, he's not finding minutes anywhere in this league anytime soon.
